Shelf: Library Reader · Last updated 12 October 2026
Shelf does not collect personal data.
Shelf is a reader for book servers you run or have access to. When you add a server, its address and your sign-in are stored on your device in the system keychain, and shared only with other apps by the same developer installed on that same device. They are never sent to us.
Everything Shelf loads comes from the server you chose: catalogues, covers, book files and reading progress. Shelf sends your reading progress back to that server so it can be picked up on your other devices. No other party receives it.
Your yearly reading goal is stored in your own iCloud account through iCloud key-value storage, if iCloud is enabled on your device. It is visible only to you.
Shelf contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party tracking. It contacts no server of ours.
If you delete the app, everything it stored on the device is deleted with it. Data on your server is yours and is untouched.
